The Society has very strong links with the Education Division of the Church of England, and shares its Chairman, the Bishop of Portsmouth. The Chief Education Officer, Canon John Hall, is the General Secretary of the Society. Other staff hold joint posts with the National Society and with the Education Division. The Church in Wales has representation on the Council of the Society.
