How to give to support The National Society

Your support will enable The National Society to take further opportunities to promote Christian education and to develop important new initiatives for the benefit of schools, colleges and parishes.

Much of the income of The National Society derives from investments, or inheritance from a generous past. Inevitably, this income is under pressure. Most of the work of the Society is not income-generating but costly in human and other resources. With great regret, we have recently had to cut down on significant areas of work, while refocusing on the Society's core purpose. If you can give more than the membership fee, your donation will be used to good effect.

You can support the work of the Society through Gift Aid, donations or individual memberships.

Membership and donations form (Word format: 297 KB)

As an individual, would you consider offering a monthly gift of £5 or £10 (or more) with Gift Aid? We will send you the appropriate details if you contact us.

Direct Debit is an easy way to pay your membership subscription and to financially support the work of the Society.

Give as you earn / Payroll giving is another way of supporting The National Society and takes advantage of the Government's 10% supplement. Through this method donations are deducted at source. Therefore you need to contact whoever organizes your salary, stipend, periodical payments or pension.

Bequests and legacies

We are grateful for all bequests and legacies and ask supporters to consider remembering the Society in your will. A suggested form of legacy is:

"I give the sum of £ (...... pounds) to The National Society (Church of England) for Promoting Religious Education of Church House Westminster London SW1P 3NZ (hereinafter called "the Society") to be applied for the general charitable objects and purposes of the Society and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer of the Society shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my trustees."
