NEW RESOURCES FOR SIAS INSPECTORS

A Helping Hand by Susan Seward and Andrew Gilroy aided in part by Alison Brown, the Deputy Diocesan Director and RE Advisor to the Derby Diocese, has been compiled as an aid to the current round of denominational inspections.  The impact that Church of England schools have on learners and how schools and inspectors can evaluate the distinctiveness and effectiveness of them forms a central part of the scheme.

This cogently supports the SIAS structures and would be useful for inspectors and dioceses seeking to underpin the detail of their training and support. The work based on "listening to Learners" is particularly helpful. SIAS inspection - support officer Nick McKemey
