Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools, SIAS replaces Section 23
Please note that new arrangements for inspecting Anglican schools in line with the Education Act 2005 have been finalised by the National Society and will apply from 1 September 2005. 'Section 23' is being replaced with 'SIAS', the Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools. After 1 September 2005, and as possible before, the new National Society SIAS Framework will be used with the NS Toolkit. Statutory school inspection will follow school self-evaluation. Inspectors are retraining and new inspectors are being recruited. New documents are available.
