In addition to the web pages on this site, which are designed to be read online in your web browser, some resources may be posted on the site in other file formats that are more appropriate for downloading to read offline. These formats may require the use of additional software. The most commonly used download formats on this site are Word documents and PDF files. Information on how to use these types of files, together with a link to the site from which you can download the PDF reader software, is provided on a separate web page.
Yes! We are delighted for the material to be used as much as possible in your school. (See also: Printing tips below.)
Yes, all the material on this site is copyright © The National Society 2003 or reproduced with permission from other copyright holders. However, you may print it out and photocopy it for local use in your own school / church / DBE / organization. For more information see the copyright page.
No. If you reproduce material from this site on another web site you will be breaching copyright. However, you can link and 'deep link' to the information on our site.
You should be able to print out any page using your browser's print commands. These will normally be found on the File menu of your browser. Some other points to note are:
Most pages should print out okay on A4 paper, but if you have any trouble, you could try adjusting the text size.
Unfortunately it is not possible to specify where the page will break when you print from the web. You may find that it won't break in the most convenient place. Again, you may be able to get better results by adjusting margins, text sizes, or your printer settings.
If you've got a coloured printer, and don't want to waste coloured ink, then set your printer to print in black and white / grayscale before printing (to find out how to do this, consult the manual or help files for your printer).
You can print off and photocopy as many pages as you need for use in your work but please bear in mind that the material on the site is copyright. Please see the copyright page for more information.
Did you know you can alter the size of text onscreen? In recent versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape, go to View - Text Size on the menu and choose the size you want. Enlarge the text to make it easier to read.
If the link you were trying to follow was to an external site, it may be that the external site is experiencing temporary problems. As a first measure, try it again later. If the link still won't open later on, or if you have spotted a broken internal link that should have taken you somewhere else within our web site, then email editorial@natsoc.c-of-e.org.uk so that we can correct or remove the link.
If your problem is not covered above, please email editorial@natsoc.c-of-e.org.uk. Please include a description of your problem, your contact details, and details about the computer you were using when you came across the problem. Tell us whether it is a PC or Mac, the name of the operating system (e.g. Windows 95) and web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer 6) you are using, and what kind of connection you use to access the Internet (dial-up, broadband, ISDN network).
