A selection of training materials are provided here for use in staff training or preparation, or policy development within school. Resources are currently available to help staff evaluate their school's progress in valuing cultural diversity, to examine teaching about marriage, or to help consider changing from VC to VA status.
In the future we hope to provide material to support the Church Colleges' Certificate in Church School Studies.
This resource kit, particularly suitable for rural schools, will help you to look at why valuing cultural diversity is important, how to do it, and what resources are available to help. The kit consists of an introduction, and a number of ready-to-use discussion sheets, provided as PDF files. The various files making up the kit can be downloaded from the kit's contents page.
This resource pack contains a range of material designed to help schools considering a change from voluntary controlled to voluntary aided status. The various files making up the pack can be downloaded from the pack's contents page.
This booklet from The National Society was published online in 2002. It is designed to help teachers and governors to review their policy and practice and to identify those areas of the curriculum that are contributing or could contribute to a structured programme of teaching about the importance of marriage. It is usable in all schools and for all children.
