Update 5 includes changes to the administration of the inspection grant, the School Improvement Consultative Group (SICG) - formerly The Joint Self-Evaluation and Inspection Consultative Group, SIAS training strategy for 2007-2008 - two models have been proposed, Critical Readers, Appeals against SIAS outcomes, CVA scores, Standards in denominational RE, Collective Worship that does not meet statutory requirements and the Administration of SIAS inspections.
Assuring the quality of SIAS inspection reports is a document giving guidance for critical readers written by Frank Knowles for the National Society. It includes chapters on Selection and training of critical readers, Outline strategy for critical reading, Undertaking a critical read, Judging the quality of a report and Text conventions.
